マダガスカルの木、バオバブ　The Baobab tree in Madagascar

その女の子はマダガスカルからやって来た。　細身でオシャレなグラフィック・デザイナー（志望）。　ピヴォでインターンを希望され、面談の折に拝見した作品集には、マダガスカルを原生とするバオバブの木など、面白い植物が描かれていました。　私の頭の中にはジャングルの様に生い茂った森よりは、より整頓されたモダンな植物が拡がった。　そして彼女をデザイナーとして完成したのが、BabySoulのA LIFE TRIP という作品。
幾何学的でコンテンポラリーな植物のデザインを目指し紆余曲折しながらも、自分のデザインを完成させ、成長していく様が、BabySoulのポジティヴな歌詞にマッチして、とても感動的なプロジェクトとなったと記憶します。

　There is a girl who came from Madagascar. She is a slender fashionable graphic designer(applicant). She wanted to be an interne at Le pivot.
When I saw her portfolio, very interesting plants like Madagascar aboriginal tree Baobab and so on were drawn.
Well organized sophisticated plants rather than a forest overgrown with plants like a jungle spread in my mind.
And a work brought her to complete her as a graphic designer was a music clip called A LIFE TRIP by Baby soul.
Since the way she struggle to accomplish her design of geometrical and contemporary plants and the way she mature herself matched with the lyrics of the BabySoul,
it became a very touching project.
