人生を変える（かも）ビデオ

I received an interview the other day. The simple question ‘What made you decide to do this job?’ made me remember a video!
Yes! that is it! the video leaded me to do this profession.
The interviewer have never seen this video so I played it to see together.
“Big Time“&”Sledgehammer” by Peter Gabriel.
Before meeting with this video, I was influenced a lot by Luigi Colani which means so super star like!!
I was hooked on the product design(Those streamlined design looks quite frumpy if we see it today)
I discovered the unknown world of stop motion animation by Peter.
I love hand made products of this period.
Then why do I use computer?? that is because of YMO!!! I will tell you this story next time.
先日、あるミニコミ誌のインタヴューをお受けしました。「映像の仕事を始めたきっかけは？」というシンプルな質問を受けて、ハッと忘れていたこのビデオを思い出しました。　そう、このビデオがきっかけ！　インタビュアーが見た事ないという不届き者ゆえ、一緒に見てみました。
ピーターガブリエル氏の”ビックタイム“と”スレッジ・ハンマー“です。　
懐かしい～。
コレ以前の私はルイジ・コラーニ　＝　スーパースターな感じで、プロダクトデザインまっしぐらの学生でした。(今見ると、流線型なデザインも、ちょいダサかも)
このビデオで、ストップモーションアニメーションという未知の世界を知ってしまったんですね。　このくらい手作りな時代なものが最高に好きです。　じゃ何故コンピュータ使ってるの？というのは、もちろんっYMOの影響ですが、この話はまた今度！
