機械フェチ　Image Processing System

某、トラックメーカーの工場のビデオクリップなるものを制作中。　オーソドックスになりがちな仕事なのですが、、、　デザインはミニマリズムで現代的。サウンドも工場の機械の音だけで作るという斬新なものです。

私が社会人になって初めて配属されたのが「特撮技術部」。特殊撮影用のコンピュータ制御で動く、モーションコントロールカメラというムービーカメラの操作が仕事。
シャッター、絞り、フォーカス、ズーム、カメラの位置、角度、全ての駆動部にステッピングモーターやサーボモーターを取り付けて、コンピュータで全てを制御します。
ソフトもハードも自社開発されたそのシステム”IPS(Image Processing System)”を扱うのは、まるでロボットを運転するかのようでした。「ゆけ！鉄人！！！」と叫びたくなる楽しくシビレる仕事でしたね。(takeo)　

I am creating a clip for a truck manufacturer.
This kind of project could be very orthodox, but unexpectedly the design is minimalism and modern.
The idea to make sounds only with the mechanical noise is original.
The department I was assigned for the first time was “Special effects technology department”!
My duty was to operate a movie camera called Motion control camera which is designed to be controlable by the computer for trick shooting.
The stepper motor or the servo motor is installed in all the drives such as the shutter, the iris, the focus, the position or the angle for controlling by the computer.
Operating this internally developed system, Image Processing System, seemed to me like operating a robot.
This was truly fascinating work that I wanted to shout “Go Robot, Go!”.
