引っ越しました。
セーヌ川から分岐してサンマルタン運河が北上して流れています。
僕は、その辺りの小さな船が並んでいる地域に住んでいます。
その運河は一旦バスチーユ牢獄のあった広場で、地下に潜ります。
真っ暗で船乗りは頭を下げていなければなりませんが、リパブリック広場を越えた辺りで、また地上にその姿を現します。
そして、ジョーレという駅辺りから、本格的に川幅を増し、20mくらいはある運河になります。
ジョーレの手前は急な坂道。
運河は、上り傾斜がある場合、エレベーター的に水位も階段的に持ち上げるような設備があり、その風景は見ているだけでも飽きません。
マジンガーZ世代の僕は、プールの水の中からロボットが出てきて、コクピットが頭部に合体するシーンを思い出します。
セーヌ川が大西洋に出る時も同じような設備で水位を海面に合わせてあげます。
大きな船が停泊する川辺の雰囲気はとても優雅。
左右の岸に映画館があり、2つの映画館を船で往復している景色も時間をゆったり感じさせます。
少し行くと、運河が東西に分岐するところに、ラ・ヴィレットと呼ばれる再開発地域が見えてきます。
西側には、科学技術館があり、東側には、大小のコンサートホールや劇場、そしてパリ・フィルハーモニーのコンサートホールを構えます。
大きな森と公園に囲まれた、そこはフランス最大の文化施設です。
その中に、Villette Makerzという、Fablab、Co-Workingスペースがあり、そこに引っ越しました。
FabLabは、最近の流行りで、高価な機材、例えば、3Dプリンターやレーザーカッターなどをパブリックに公開して、誰でも使えるようにしたラボです。
得に週末は、子供たちを招待した各種ワークショップが活発に行われ、ガヤガヤしています。
2階、3階には、レジデンスの仕事場や、機材スペースなどがあり、そこが新しい僕のアトリエとなりました。
パリには、4箇所くらい、こういった半民半官の大きな施設があります。
それぞれ、IT、スタートアップ、手工業と施設ごとの特色があります。
この Makerzは、デジタルとクラフトの融合という感じです。
レジデンスも、グラフィスト、建築家、彫刻家、職人さんなど色々です。
ここの面白いところは、レジデンスアーティストと、週末や夜にワークショップを運営するMakerzのスタッフが共同で仕事をしている事。
レジデンスがワークショップの講師であったり、レジデンスが絵の教室などを主催していたりします。
僕の部屋は、大きなキッチンに隣接して、
毎日誰かが料理をして、夕方にはお菓子を焼く匂いが漂うとても美味しそうなキッチンです。
僕は、片道30分くらい自転車で運河沿いを上ってきます。
運河沿いの景色がとてもよく、そのせいか、ジョギングをする人々が多く、いい感じのエモなエモーションが漂っています。
このエモーションと森の空気を味わいながら仕事ができて幸せです！

J’ai déménagé
Le canal Saint-Martin coule vers le nord et se détache de la Seine.
J’habite dans un quartier où il y a une rangée de petits bateaux dans cette zone.
Ce canal passe sous terre au niveau de la place où se trouvait la prison de la Bastille.
Il fait nuit noire et les marins doivent baisser la tête, mais il réapparaît en surface juste après la place de la République.
Autour de la station Jaurès, le petit canal devient un véritable canal d’une vingtaine de mètres de large.
Avant Jaurès le canal est en pente raide.
Le canal est équipé d’un ascenseur qui remonte le niveau de l’eau sur les marches lorsqu’il y a une pente ascendante, et le paysage est fascinant à observer.
En tant que la génération Mazinger Z, je me souviens de la scène où le robot émerge de l’eau de la piscine et où le cockpit se confond avec la tête.
Lorsque la Seine se jette dans l’Atlantique, des équipements similaires sont utilisés pour ramener le niveau de l’eau au niveau de la mer.
L’ambiance au bord du fleuve est très élégante, avec de grands bateaux au mouillage.
Il y a des cinémas de part et d’autre du fleuve, et la vue des bateaux qui vont et viennent entre les deux cinémas donne une impression de détente.
Un peu plus loin, là où le canal bifurque vers l’est et l’ouest, vous verrez la zone de réaménagement connue sous le nom de La Villette.
À l’ouest se trouve le Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, tandis qu’à l’est se trouvent les grandes et petites salles de concert, les théâtres et la salle de concert de la Philharmonie de Paris.
Entouré d’une grande forêt et d’un parc, c’est le plus grand complexe culturel de France.
Nous avons emménagé dans le Villette Makerz, un FabLab et un espace de co-working.
Le FabLab sont la dernière mode, des laboratoires où des équipements coûteux, tels que des imprimantes 3D et des découpeuses laser, sont ouverts au public et disponibles pour tout le monde.
Le week-end, l’endroit est particulièrement animé, les enfants étant invités à participer à divers ateliers.
Aux premier et deuxième étages, il y a des lieux de travail pour les résidences et des espaces d’équipement, qui sont devenus mon nouvel atelier.
Il existe environ quatre grands équipements semi-privés et semi-publics de ce type à Paris.
Chacun a sa propre spécialité, que ce soit l’informatique, les start-ups ou l’artisanat.
Ce Makerz est une fusion entre le numérique et l’artisanat.
Les résidences sont également diverses : graphistes, architectes, sculpteurs et artisans.
Ce qui est intéressant ici, c’est que les artistes résidents et l’éauipe du Makerz qui anime les ateliers le week-end et le soir travaillent ensemble.
Parfois, le résident est instructeur d’un atelier, parfois résident organise des cours de dessin ou creation, etc.
Ma chambre, adjacente à une grande cuisine,
C’est une cuisine très savoureuse, avec quelqu’un qui cuisine tous les jours et l’odeur des pâtisseries dans l’aprés midi.
Je monte à vélo le long du canal pendant environ 30 minutes dans chaque sens.
Le paysage le long du canal est très pittoresque et peut-être à cause de cela, il y a beaucoup de joggeurs et une belle émotion ans l’air.
Je suis heureux de travailler avec cette émotion et l’air de la forêt !
PS: Le petit bateau de cette photo transportait des gens qui dégustent du fromage et du jambon. dans le froid.
I moved
The Canal Saint-Martin flows northwards, detaching itself from the Seine.
I live in a neighborhood where there is a row of small boats in this area.
This canal runs underground at the level of the place where the Bastille prison used to be.
It’s pitch-dark and the sailors have to keep their heads down, but it reappears above ground just past the Place de la République.
Around Jaurès station, the small canal becomes a full-fledged canal some twenty meters wide.
Before Jaurès, the canal slopes steeply.
The canal is equipped with an elevator that raises the water level on the steps when there is an upward slope, and the landscape is fascinating to observe.
As a member of the Mazinger Z generation, I remember the scene where the robot emerges from the pool water and the cockpit merges with the head.
When the Seine flows into the Atlantic, similar equipment is used to bring the water level down to sea level.
The atmosphere along the river is very elegant, with large boats at anchor.
There are cinemas on either side of the river, and the view of the boats coming and going between the two cinemas gives a relaxed feel.
A little further on, where the canal branches off to the east and west, you’ll see the redevelopment zone known as La Villette.
To the west is the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, while to the east are large and small concert halls, theaters and a design studio.
Surrounded by a large forest and park, it’s the largest cultural complex in France.
We’ve moved into the Villette Makerz, a FabLab and co-working space.
FabLabs are the latest craze, laboratories where expensive equipment such as 3D printers and laser cutters are open to the public and available to everyone.
At weekends, the place is particularly lively, with children invited to take part in various workshops.
On the first and second floors, there are workspaces for residencies and equipment spaces, which have become my new studio.
There are around four large semi-private and semi-public facilities of this type in Paris.
Each has its own specialty, be it IT, start-ups or crafts.
This Makerz is a fusion of digital and craft.
The residencies are equally diverse: graphic designers, architects, sculptors and craftsmen.
What’s interesting here is that the resident artists and the Makerz team who run the weekend and evening workshops work together.
Sometimes the resident is an instructor in a workshop, sometimes the resident organizes drawing or creation classes, and so on.
My room, adjacent to a large kitchen,
It’s a very tasty kitchen, with someone cooking every day and the smell of pastries in the afternoon.
I cycle along the canal for about 30 minutes each way.
The landscape along the canal is very picturesque and perhaps because of this, there are lots of joggers and a beautiful emotion in the air.
I’m happy to work with that emotion and the forest air!
PS: The little boat in this photo was carrying people enjoying cheese and ham in the cold.
