It’s a scrap of articles of ‘DESIGNER’S WORKSHOP’ that I bought accidentally when I was 15years old. The issue of 1983 is first design magazine that i bought. In this time I had interested to letteting design So I was often drawing round fat shape or square hard edge shape of marks or fonts.
The article of PAOS. They are only one of pioneer of Corporate Identity design company(Of course I didn’t know it). Many famous marks & identities are created them. I was a fever! Child’s small heart was heated up!
Also in this time, I needed decide my course… well I decided go the art&industry high school at this night when I have hot heart.
これは、中学３年生の頃、駅前の小さな書店で偶然に見つけて買った『デザインの現場』のスクラップ。 1983年の号です。 その頃はレタリングにはまっていて、丸文字や角文字のマークや文字を好んで描いていました。 そしてココに特集されているのは、あのPAOS社(日本を代表するCI計画の会社。もちろん、あの頃は知りません) 町で見かける有名なマークをたくさんデザインしていて、、、男の人が真面目顔で打ち合わせをしていて、、、子供心にドキドキしたのを覚えています。
ちょうど、高校受験で進学校を決める時期でした。 工芸高校という美術工芸の高校に進路決定したのも、その夜、この興奮冷め止まぬとき。
想えば、たくさんの『仕事の現場』を、この雑誌から拝見させていただきました。
