MODUL 8　もしくは　グリッド・システム

The girl came to Pivot all the way from Lausanne, Switzer land for applying an internship.
Her university University of art and design Lausanne is quite interesting.
Switz land is a country which created “Hervetica” and their precisely organized design is one of their characteristic.
I asked her with curiosity if the grid system is taught at school.
The answer is “YES”.
we design a font along the grid…. the thing I really want to know was the system how to stick out from grid.
The image above is a software called MODUL 8 installed in her laptop.
She taught me how to use it. The interface is so cool.

その女の子は、はるばる、スイスはローザンヌの大学から、ピヴォにインターンの申し込みをしにやってきました。University of art and design Lausanne(ローザンヌ芸術大学)で、なかなか面白い。
スイスは、ヘルベチカを生み出した国で、かちっと整頓されたデザインが特徴。興味本位で、「グリッド・システムは今でも学校で習うのか？」と問うたら、答えはYESだそうです。　グリッドに沿ってフォントデザインなんかをするのだけれど、、、僕の知りたいのは、グリッドからはみ出る時の法則が知りたい。
写真は、彼女のマックにインストールされていた、VJソフト”MODUL 8“。　初めて見たので、教えてもらいました。　インターフェースが超かっこいい！
