When I was Skype chatting with Mr.T , He recommended me ‘FinalRender‘ very well. He said that ‘Fhysical sky’ was goooood. So I am checking it. It use information of Time(Month, Day, Year, Hours, Minutes, Seconds) and GPS information(Lattitude, Longitude) for rendering….Ummmm(It’s really necessary ?!) When it’s rendeing picture is drawn(appeared) in the red & green points. Cute!

Add YoursYou have also physical sky with mental ray on maya if you want, i have used it at Duboi…
Hi hugo
It’s work well on Maya ?
It’s better than MentalRay ?
If Oui. Why ? Which point is good ? Rendering Speed ?
Please give me :)
on maya, physical sky is a function of mental ray. It’s not really easy to use it because if u want to use it well and match a little more reality u have to use a gamma 2.2 at the end of rendering (link to camera) and a gamma 0.45 to all the maps of your scene. The rendering is slow and it’s a very nice result for exterior scene but i’m quite sure that by tweaking the final gather you can get the same result.
WoW hugo !
Thank you so many information.
What is gamma 2.2 & 0.45 ?
You are STAR of SFX in France !
I saw the tutorial film(QT). He said always ‘very quickly, vary fast ! ‘ :)
mmm. gamma is like the luminosity. for example gamma .45 mean you darken the image.
This is really for geek people :)
this is called "tone mapping" and it’s necessary to do that to have a good computation of the physical sky. so u apply a gamma correct to all the textures and a gamma 2.2 to your MIA explosure (which is typical computer screen)
