The line 4 is the Metro goes between north and south of Paris.
Very convenient line which connects major station like Paris nord or est and major shopping mall like les Halles.
But!!!! this old line is narrow, dark, hot and unstable!!!
The light blinks as we approach to the last station because of
the bad electricity supply.
Sometimes it puts out the great effect, it depends on the book
you read but normally (most of the time) it is just annoying.
These days, I do lap between north and south. if I talk about today, I had to get down because the train stopped at
middle of nowhere to and from BOTH way!!!
パリの中心を南北に走る地下鉄４番線。北駅、東駅や、レ•アールなどのショッピングセンターなどをつなぐ、とても便利なライン。のはずだが、これが古いラインで、狭い、暗い、暑い、車幅が狭く、窮屈かつ揺れる。終点間際では、給電の接触が悪く、照明が明滅する。時折、読んでいる本にリンクして、素晴らしい効果を発揮したりするが、通常はとても不愉快だ。 このところ、この４番線を利用して、南北を行ったり来たりしている。 今日は、行きも帰りも電車が止まって、違う路線に乗り換えなくてはならない羽目に。まさにサバイバルなラインなのである。

実は私、この４番線の古さが非常に気に入っています。
外国を実感するひととき。
日本であれば、田舎の電車に乗るとそのような感じです。ちょっとクッションの薄い硬い椅子、狭い座席の足もと、ちょっと曇ったガラス。
そしてちなみに１番線のアナウンスも気に入っています。というか、「Louvre Rivoli」の発音が気に入っています。ちょっと挑発的です。かなり挑発的です。特に繰り返してアナウンスする２回目が。
ぜひお耳を傾けてみて下さい。

毎日乗っていますと、頭が溶けそうです。 本当です。
僕も「Louvre Rivoli」の発音スキです。 学校の先生みたいです。 挑発してるんでしょうかね～？ 今度よく聞いてみます。
